UEFA is planning to change the UEFA Champions League game from mid-week to weekend starting in 2021.

The current structure can not be changed in the current three-year cycle as television rights are already sold.

But UEFA and the European Association of Clubs (ECA) are keen to make this change later, Marca said.

Although nothing has yet been decided, UEFA and ECA reached an agreement on Thursday allowing them to work together in European football until 2024.

The changes could be implemented from 2021

The new 32-team competition to be introduced in 2021 and the way it will be implemented will be among the topics to be discussed.

But UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin is adamant: the European Super League projects will not materialize.

"There will be no European Super League," he confirmed on Thursday at the UEFA Congress in Rome.
