Tottenham's manager denied the existence of a hidden motive behind his chance encounter with the two former stars of Madrid.
Mauricio Pochettino described as pure coincidence the meeting with former stars of Real Madrid Zinedine Zidane and David Beckham.
The manager of Tottenham was this week having dinner in the same London restaurant as Zidane and Beckham, who were teammates in Spain between 2003 and 2006.
Pochettino would have been a target for Madrid at various stages since Zidane's surprise decision to leave his post as head coach at the end of last season.

The French legend is still unemployed despite its links with Manchester United, the club where Beckham is known.
Pochettino admitted to having met the pair, but denied that it was an unplanned meeting.
"I was with [Tottenham badistant coach] Jesus [Perez] and another person. There were three of us, "said the Spurs boss.
"We met by chance [with Beckham and Zidane] and that is all history.
"We only said hello because we met by chance, but the story then came up and how do you stop?

"We almost finished at the same time, he came to say hello and we spent two minutes talking and then we parted."

Pochettino led Tottenham five points from first place in the Premier League, with 13 games to play this quarter.
The next step for the Spurs is a meeting with Leicester City on Sunday before the attention is turned to the Champions League and Borussia Dortmund.
The Spurs will welcome their counterparts from the Bundesliga on Wednesday at Wembley Stadium.
