Tesla Model 3 production Loads up to 125 kW

About 125 kW is what you can expect between 10% and almost 50% SOC in a model 3.

Fastned has just released the results of the load power of the Tesla Model 3 production, recorded in one of its 175 kW power plants.

The graph shows that the European model 3, with CCS Combo input (type 2), can take about 125 kW between about 10% and about 48% of the state of charge (SOC). The tip slightly exceeds 125 kW, but round it up to 125 kW.

The results are similar to those of the first report on a 117 kW IONITY fast charger.

Fast load capacity

However, the power is much lower at the beginning of the charging process (less than 10% of SOC).

Before 50%, it also starts to decrease to about 85 kW by about 60%, then to decrease further (but more slowly) to reach 50 kW to more than 75%. 25 kW is still possible up to about 85-90%.

Overall, Tesla Model 3 offers a correct charging speed (probably the best price range / market segment in the near future), but it is certain that it is not as high as in the case of the Audi e-tron.
