Jaguar Land Rover recalls defective vehicles in China – Xinhua

BEIJING, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) – The Jaguar Land Rover China has announced a recall plan for 44 imported cars due to a risk to engine safety, according to the Chinese quality watchdog.

In accordance with the company's recall plan with the State Market Regulatory Authority, the recall began on February 2 and involved six new Range Rover vehicles manufactured between October 10 and October 17. 2018 and 38 new Range Rover sports models manufactured between October 10-19, 2018.

Defective engine pulleys on these cars can cause engine blockage, which poses safety risks, according to the statement from the State Administration for Market Regulation.

Jaguar Land Rover China has promised to replace free defective parts for safety reasons.
