EDINSON CAVANI is injured just three days before the Champions League clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.
The 31-year-old Uruguayan star was eliminated at the half-time of the Ligue 1 champions' match with Bordeaux's thigh injury.
Cavani had scored from the start to give a 1-0 lead to the Parisian giants. He was hit shortly after and could now join Neymar on the sidelines.
The Brazilian superstar is definitely out of the game. He has been dealing with a foot injury for ten weeks.
Earlier this week, Neymar was seen on crutches at his 27th birthday party in the French capital.
And he arrived at the Parc des Princes earlier in the day on crutches while he was a fervent young amateur while hopping from one leg to the other.
But now, the formidable offensive trio of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Cavani PSG, there remains only their young star.
It's unclear for how long Cavani could be absent, if at all – but it seems unlikely that it's risky mid-week.
United host PSG at Old Trafford Tuesday night in the first leg of the last 16 games of the Champions League.
If Cavani's injury is not too serious, he may be ready for the second leg, to be played on March 3 in Paris.
