ARSENAL was reportedly crippled by Mesut Ozil's astronomical salary, but Lionel Messi made him look poor.
Barcelona superstar is by far the highest paid player on the planet, winning £ 7.3m MONTH before tax – almost double his rival Cristiano Ronaldo.
Messi signed a new contract in November 2017 where he earns around £ 1.7 million a week – according to the latest annual salary report from The Team.
