Courtois has been loaned by Chelsea for three seasons as a player from Atletico (2011-2014). The Belgian goalkeeper left when he was called back by the Premier League team to replace Petr Cech.

But he returned to Madrid this summer, joining the rival of Atletico, Real. It was his first match against his old club in their new stadium and he did not receive a warm welcome.

In addition to the incessant whistling and hissing of local fans, several toy rats were thrown at him while he was in the goal – fans call him a rat for his decision to return to the white side of Madrid .

A tribute was paid to another former player of the Atletico, Isacio Calleja, who recently died at 82 years old. He played for the club for 14 years (1958-1972).
