Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid live
LaLiga 2018-19 | Madrid Derby
Location: Wanda Metropolitano
In a derby marked by video criticism, Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid 3-1 on Saturday to defeat rivals and return to second-place La Liga for the first time since September.
Casemiro's aerial kick, Sergio Ramos's penalty kick and Gareth Bale's second-half goal led Real Madrid to their fifth straight league win. Antoine Griezmann scored for Atletico, who lost at home in the league for the first time this season.
Griezmann's goal was initially denied for offside but the VAR reversed the call. The video was also to be used to confirm the penalty that led to Ramos' goal just before half-time and to check another offside call that canceled the second-half draw of the former striker. Real Madrid Alvaro Morata.
It was also used when Morata wanted a penalty (not awarded) later in the game.
