Announced tonight by shudder pproduction began on the first long-running TV series original streaming service, a small reboot of "Horror show" in Atlanta, GA. Executive produced by The dead who walkS Greg Nicotero, the series of horrors is based on the iconic anthology of 1982, written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero.
The season of six episodes will include the adaptation of a unseen story of Stephen King ("Survivor Type", it seems), as well as segments based on stories written by other award-winning and acclaimed horror writers, including:
- "On the edge of the silver waters of Lake Champlain" by Joe Hill (NOS4A2)
- "House of the Head" by Josh Malerman (Bird box)
- Joe Lansdale's "Companion" (The socks)
- "The man in the suitcase" by Christopher Buehlman (The little dead)

In addition to his EP duties, Nicotero will lead part of the series. Other payments will be made by David Bruckner, director of the acclaimed horror film The ritual; Roxanne Benjamin, director of segments of To the south and XX; and Rob Schrab, whose many TV production credits include ghosts and Community. John Harrison, who was the first badistant director of George Romero on the original Horror show film (and who also composed the theme of the film), will make a story that he co-wrote with Nicotero.
KNB EFX GROUP Inc., the award-winning Emmy® and Oscar de Nicotero award winning company, will be Creature and makeup effects.
Other stories and directors, as well as key roles, will be announced later this year.
