On Saturday, Ms. Mensah went on Facebook to confirm that her HIV status was negative, by showing pictures of the result of her test of a German hospital.

According to her, she decided to publish her HIV / AIDS status because of the ongoing stigma of her children and the constant harbadment she was personally facing.

"These are my HIV results, which took a week to come because it is more detailed than the instant test.
"This result looks for the HIV virus itself but not just the antibodies.
"This is more detailed because it brings the amount of virus to an infected person," she says.

She continued: "When I entered a German hospital, that's what I chose and when I returned a week later to take my results, the doctor told me that I had no infection .
"She circled the HIV virus _0_0 and said it did not mean any detection, no infection.

"Those of you who tell my life on social networks and in real life, you can now keep the results, plasticize them and hang them in your room if it makes you happy.
"Those of you who still stigmatize my children are now ceasing because you have seen it now."
Ms. Mensah in 2014 shocked the nation by claiming that she was HIV-negative.

For years she has been the face of the country's campaign against the disease and the stigma attached to it.

The Ghana AIDS Commission has refuted its claims that it has never been HIV-positive.
She has since been on numerous media platforms, stressing that she is HIV-negative.
