Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, an NDC MP for Odododiodoo, said his party would not let Sam George's striker escape, regardless of the party's degree of protection from the ruling party.

He revealed that these security personnel were on the list of people wanted by the police since the NDC was in power, but then escaped to the north and returned to power when the NPP took power.

"We know that the guy who slapped Sam George, MP for Ningo-Prampram, is an armed robber living in my riding in Old Fadama for quite some time. He was pursued and ran north, he hid and went down when there was a change of government. " he said in an interview on Joy FM.
