Virgin Galactic Donates SpaceShipTwo Rocket Engine to Smithsonian

The engine will eventually be showcased as part of the future Future of Spaceflight Gallery dedicated to commercial businesses beyond the Earth. You will, however, have to wait a while to see it – the show should not be open until 2024. It's hard to know which other companies will find their way into the museum, although we're not surprised that SpaceX Blue Origin and other well-known private ensembles make the cut.

There is no doubt that this represents a marketing opportunity for Virgin. He puts his name in the honor even though he has not yet put into orbit a single commercial flight. If you manage to overcome the acquired rights, the gift is always important. It shows how private spaceflight has evolved from first concepts to reality, although there is still much work to be done.
