Gonzalo Higuain plans a new dawn in Chelsea under the direction of Maurizio Sarri

Gonzalo Higuain openly admitted that the last six months, loaned to AC Milan, were not working and constituted a weak point in his career.

After taking his first steps in the Premier League, Higuain is hoping for a new dawn at Stamford Bridge and a chance to do great things in Chelsea.

The 31-year-old had a startling career in England, beating two sublime goals in his home debut in a 5-0 win over Huddersfield.

The 31-year-old was brought to the Premier League by his favorite boss, Maurizio Sarri.

Speaking in front of Sky Sports before the decisive clash between Chelsea and the reigning Manchester City champion, Higuain evoked his recent form and turned to the future with Maurizio Sarri.

"Certainly, the last six months at AC Milan were not the best, but other than that, I do not think my balance sheet has dropped," Argentina said.

"Of course, it was not the same as my record year in Italy, but I gained silver and improved in other areas.

"Perhaps I have not done my best in the last six months compared to previous years, but I hope to be back to my best at Chelsea under Sarri." I think that with the coach and the trust of the team in me, I can do exactly that.

"It's a coach I know and he really helped me come here. I already know how he likes to play. It's the coach I work with best.

"I think Maurizio made a very good start to the season and Chelsea had a long undefeated race and there was a dip like all the teams, but now we're back on the up."

In Milan, Higuain fought for consistency and could not regain his clinical advantage.

At Chelsea, however, Higuain took a quick start and scored two goals in his home debut.
