Senator Geraldine Doe-Sheriff
Senator Geraldine Doe-Sheriff, a Liberian lawmaker, is said to have died of cancer at the Korle-Bu University Hospital in Accra.
The young senator from Montserrado County reportedly died at 5:15 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2019.
It is thought that she has been fighting cancer for more than a year and that she has been sent to Accra by plane for treatment.
The late senator was a member of the Liberian Senate since she got her seat on the Congress of Democratic Change (CDC) ticket, which has been transformed into a Coalition for Democratic Change.
