The late Iddrisu Muktaru, better known as DEMS
MyNewsGh.com has confirmed that the parliamentary candidate of the new Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kumbungu constituency in the northern region, had crushed a truck at the stop, to death.
Iddrisu Muktaru, better known as DEMS, reportedly went to Kumbungu Saturday night on a motorcycle when he hit the truck that had been abandoned in the middle of the road without warning triangles.
He would have died instantly and the bike was damaged to the point where it could not be repaired.
Family sources revealed that he had been buried on Sunday, February 10, 2019, according to Islamic custom.
His incident is one of many accidents in the region involving dump trucks, a source of major concern for city authorities over the dumb truck drivers' noncompliance with the Highway Code.
It will be remembered that earlier this month, Mohammed Shamsudeen Rufai, a Tamale-based radio host, better known as DJ Fabregas, was also crushed by a dump truck.
The late Mohammed Shamsudeen Rufai was riding a motorcycle with a lady supposed to be his girlfriend who survived the New Year's dawn in Lamashegu, a suburb of Tamale metropolis, while he was returning home after the Launch of a music album of a survivor, Kasi Survivor arrived.
The owner of the dump truck abandoned on the Kumbungu road, which ultimately cost the life of this beautiful soul, must be sued. I hope and pray that the Kumbungu District Assembly and the relatives of Dems do not live "all for God".
