The EMILIANO Sala pilot is still missing and to help finance further research, Kylian Mbappe has donated £ 27,000 and Gary Lineker £ 1,000 to his heartbroken family.

David Ibbotson, 59, was driving Cardiff City striker Emiliano Sala, 28, from Nantes to the Welsh capital, when the Piper Malibu crashed into the sea on 21 January.

The body of David Embotiano Sala's pilot, David Ibbotson, has not been found since his plane sank in the English Channel on 21 January.

The official search was canceled four days later, but more than £ 260,000 was raised to fund private research.

The investigation led to the discovery of the footballer's body on February 4, but the remains of Ibbotson have not yet been discovered.

The pilot's family on Friday launched a GoFundMe page to plead "we need him at home to let him rest."

The Match of the Day presenter donated £ 1,000, making it the second largest contributor to the fundraising campaign.

The French football star made the biggest donation this morning under the name of Ellie Lottin.

Mbappe had already donated £ 26,267 (€ 30,010) and many other football stars for private research.

The last fundraising page raised more than £ 100,000 on a £ 300,000 goal.

Lineker also shared the GoFundMe page on her social media.

He then invited Cardiff City and Nantes to make a donation as the two clubs were preparing for a legal dispute over Sala's £ 15 million transfer fee.

The Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) stated that the search had been halted and that the operation to evacuate the wreck had been abandoned due to adverse weather conditions.

On Friday, Sala's family urged the authorities to continue searching for the driver's body.

They declared in a statement: "It is with infinite sadness that we confirm the identity of Emiliano's body.

"We would like to thank you for all your signs of affection and support in what is the most painful time of our lives.

"Seeing the whole world mobilized to support us in our research has been an invaluable help, and thanks to you, we can now mourn our son, our brother.

"On this Friday morning, our thoughts are with David Ibbotson and his family, in the hope that the authorities will do their best to find him."

"PLEASE HELP REPORT THE DAVID IBBOTSON HOME"

The GoFundMe page, created by Danielle, Ibbotson's daughter, hopes to raise enough money to start another private search.

The page says: "Help bring David Ibbotson home and give him the mail he deserves.

"As a family, we rely on the kindness of kind people to help us raise the funds needed to help us find our beloved father, husband and son.

"As a family, we are trying to cope with the tragedy and the loss of two incredible men.

"To say that research was interrupted in the foreseeable future has only made this tragic period more difficult.

"We can not afford to think he's alone, we need him at home to let him rest.

"Any donation would be very appreciated.

"Thank you very much for your support of the Ibbotson family."

SALA DEATH ON THE NEW CLUB

The plane Piper Malibu N264DB disappeared on January 21 en route from Nantes to Cardiff, where Sala was to join his new club after a transfer of £ 15 million.

An official search was canceled on January 24 but more than £ 300,000 was collected by football stars, including Lionel Messi, to fund a private search.

The AAIB discovered the wreckage and underwater robots were used to extract the body of water from a depth of 100 meters "in a manner as dignified as possible".

AAIB said: "In difficult conditions, AAIB and its specialized subcontractors managed to recover the body previously seen in the middle of the debris.

"The operation was conducted in the most dignified manner possible and the families were kept informed of progress."

FAREWARE SALA: Ace died at the peak of his career

Deceased at the age of 28, Emiliano Sala had just won the biggest move of his career.

The Argentinian was flying from Nantes to Cardiff on 21 January when the light aircraft aboard which he was crashing hit the English Channel near Guernsey.

That was supposed to be a robbery leading him to a new life as a Premier League striker: signing Cardiff's record and the man they hoped to get them away from any trouble in the fight against relegation.

Not married, Sala had finished only two days earlier the details of his transfer before returning to France to say goodbye to his teammates Nantes.

The move to Cardiff was a reward for a player who enjoyed the best form of his career.

Born in Santa Fe, in northeastern Argentina, in 1990, his parents Horacio and Mercedes, his father van driver, Sala dreamed to follow in the footsteps of Gabriel Batistuta.

Independiente supporters played at the youth level for the Proyecto Crecer Club, a football academy aimed at training young players capable of playing in Europe.

Although he finally went to France and joined Bordeaux in 2010, it will be two years before Sala, a player who still seeks to hit the counterattack, made his senior debut in February 2012.

A series of loan periods ensued, Sala playing for Orleans, Niort and Caen, where he showed his goal goal.

It was his performances for Caen that persuaded Nantes to sign him in the summer of 2015, and it was in Brittany that his career began to flourish.

Sala scored 42 goals for the Canary Islands and enjoys his best season so far, having scored 12 goals in 16 Ligue 1 games to beat Paris St Germain superstar Neymar, third in the scoring charts.

A hat-trick against Toulouse in October was the first by a Nantes player in Ligue 1 since the 2006 hat-trick of Mamadou Diallo. His goals accounted for nearly half of the total of 26 registered in Nantes.

Recognizing as a talented finisher, especially from headings and cut pieces, Cardiff was convinced that Sala – pbadionate guitarist and legendary renamed, was lost in the drama and dramatic drama not to mention the Chinese philosophy – could be the solution to his own problems in front of the goal.

Cardiff's signature contract for Sala was worth around £ 15m, beating the previous record of £ 11m paid for Gary Medel in 2013.

To get his signature, the Bluebirds had to resist a late Chinese bid, but Sala was eager to play in the Premier League.

He never had the chance, his career was shortened by the time it was reaching its peak.

Rescuers said that attempts to uproot the wreckage of the aircraft had been "unsuccessful" due to poor weather conditions.

AAIB said: "The weather forecast is poor in the foreseeable future and the difficult decision has been made to halt all operations.

"Although it was not possible to recover the aircraft, the large video capture captured by the ROV should provide valuable evidence for our security investigation.

"We expect our next update to be an interim report that we plan to release within a month of the accident."

The wrecker hunt expert, David Mearns, who participated in the second search, said he thought about the family and friends of Sala and Ibbotson.

He tweeted: "Rest in peace Emiliano.

"These past two weeks, I've been happy to provide some comfort to Romina, Mercedes and the whole Sala family, but my heart goes out to David Ibbotson's family and friends, who lost the same thing . "

WRECKAGE OF AIRCRAFT FOUND SUNDAY

On January 30, the AAIB announced that two seat cushions from the plane had been found off Normandy.

Mr Mearns discovered the wreckage of the plane on Sunday morning. The latter used sonar technology to badyze the seafloor of Alderney, in the Channel Islands.

Within hours, the FBV Morven boat caught a signal and a remotely operated submarine equipped with a camera was sent to formally identify the wreckage.

Experts believe that he has entered the English Channel in one piece, which may explain why he was found so quickly.

The plane of Sala disappeared around 8:30 pm, aviation experts claiming that the presence of ice on the wings could have caused its crash in the English Channel.

The aspiring footie sent WhatsApp messages to his friends as the plane flew in difficult conditions, claiming that the plane "seemed about to collapse."

He wrote: "Guys, I'm at the top of the plane, it looks like it's about to fall apart." And I'm going to Cardiff, crazy, tomorrow we've already started. In the afternoon, we started training my new team. "

Sala then sent another message saying, "If you do not have any news in an hour and a half, I do not know if they need to send someone to find me." … I'm scared! "
