The pilot's family on Friday launched a GoFundMe page to plead "we need him at home to let him rest."
The Match of the Day presenter donated £ 1,000, making it the second largest contributor to the fundraising campaign.
The French football star made the biggest donation this morning under the name of Ellie Lottin.
Mbappe had already donated £ 26,267 (€ 30,010) and many other football stars for private research.
The last fundraising page raised more than £ 100,000 on a £ 300,000 goal.
Lineker also shared the GoFundMe page on her social media.
He then invited Cardiff City and Nantes to make a donation as the two clubs were preparing for a legal dispute over Sala's £ 15 million transfer fee.
The Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) stated that the search had been halted and that the operation to evacuate the wreck had been abandoned due to adverse weather conditions.
On Friday, Sala's family urged the authorities to continue searching for the driver's body.
They declared in a statement: "It is with infinite sadness that we confirm the identity of Emiliano's body.
"We would like to thank you for all your signs of affection and support in what is the most painful time of our lives.
"Seeing the whole world mobilized to support us in our research has been an invaluable help, and thanks to you, we can now mourn our son, our brother.
"On this Friday morning, our thoughts are with David Ibbotson and his family, in the hope that the authorities will do their best to find him."

The GoFundMe page, created by Danielle, Ibbotson's daughter, hopes to raise enough money to start another private search.
The page says: "Help bring David Ibbotson home and give him the mail he deserves.

"As a family, we are trying to cope with the tragedy and the loss of two incredible men.
"To say that research was interrupted in the foreseeable future has only made this tragic period more difficult.
"We can not afford to think he's alone, we need him at home to let him rest.
"Any donation would be very appreciated.
"Thank you very much for your support of the Ibbotson family."

SALA DEATH ON THE NEW CLUB

The Argentinian was flying from Nantes to Cardiff on 21 January when the light aircraft aboard which he was crashing hit the English Channel near Guernsey.
That was supposed to be a robbery leading him to a new life as a Premier League striker: signing Cardiff's record and the man they hoped to get them away from any trouble in the fight against relegation.
Not married, Sala had finished only two days earlier the details of his transfer before returning to France to say goodbye to his teammates Nantes.
The move to Cardiff was a reward for a player who enjoyed the best form of his career.

He tweeted: "Rest in peace Emiliano.
