Joseph Sirola, an actor known as "The King of the Voice-Off", has pbaded away. He was 89 years old.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sirola died of a respiratory failure in a New York Rehabilitation Hospital Sunday.
Sirola has had a long career in entertainment, appearing in many films such as Strange bedfellows, The biggest story ever told both from 1965 as well as from Clint Eastwood Hang & Em High from 1968 and The super cops from 1974. On the small screen, Sirola appeared on The show of Andy Griffith and the original Hawaii Five-O, and Team A, among others, including a pbadage of two episodes like Harrison Fynch on Wonder Woman. Marvel fans may remember Sirola's best in his work as Dr. Doom's voice at The four fantastics cartoon.
Off the screen, Sirola has also had a successful theater career. He watched in the hit Broadway musical 1968-69 Golden rainbow has also been producer for many other productions on stage, winning a Tony Award in 2014 for the musical The guide of love and lover.
Sirola has also enjoyed great success as a voice behind many popular commercials, such as Vicks Formula 44, Boar's Head, and NyQuil. He also dubbed the roles of Wendy's Mobil, General Electric, Ford and Hertz, and was the distinctive voice of the "I Love New York" campaign during the Empire State Building Tour.

Born on October 7, 1929, Sirola served during the Korean War and held the position of Director of Sales Promotion at Kimberly-Clark before taking a drama course at age 28 that changed the trajectory of his career. Sirola is survived by her long-time friend, Claire Gozzo, a daughter, three granddaughters, a goddaughter, a nephew and two nieces.
