A baby born weighing only 1 lb 5 oz survived despite doctors who told his parents that he would die five times after contracting life-threatening meningitis and sepsis.
Hanna Rose, 25, from Worksop, Nottinghamshire, gave birth to "little warrior" George three months before his term in July of last year.
The small child was placed under respiratory badistance barely six minutes after birth. Since then, he has rushed in and out of the hospital to treat life-threatening illnesses.
Hanna and her partner, Daniel Bownes, 27, learned that George would die after being treated for meningitis, sepsis, and more than 20 blood transfusions.
But against all odds, George, nine months old, made a miraculous recovery and now lives at home with his mother and father.
Caregiver Hanna told The Daily Star Sunday: "I was convinced that he was going to die, so it's really a miracle that he's here with us."
She explained that before taking him into his arms, George had been evacuated and taken to an intensive care center where the doctors had placed him in a specialized incubator.
Hanna added, "He was operated on immediately, we could not touch him because he was born with a clear skin."
I was convinced that he was going to die so it's really a miracle that he's here with us.

George was suffering from necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), a condition in the newborn where part of the intestines dies.
During the surgical operation for NEC, the hard lost 40% of his blood and suffered from a swollen liver.
He then contracted meningitis and sepsis because of problems related to his premature birth.
The doctors told his parents in distress that they had never seen a newborn infected with such a serious infection survive.
Convinced that he would not succeed, Hana and Daniel agreed to allow a hospital chaplain to come and give his last blessing to George.
But surprisingly, once the blessing ended, George's vital signs began to improve.
Hana and Daniel read to him what they thought was his last hours of life when they saw that his blood pressure was starting to rise.
Back at home, George weighs 6 pounds, but still needs an oxygen tank to help him breathe.
The tot still faces a seventh operation for his heart and his parents raised money for physiotherapy on GoFundMe.
