Disney dropped a glimpse of Aladdin earlier tonight, giving fans a solid first look at the live remake of the animated clbadic. In addition to Will Smith's first official blue-skinned Genie look, the look also features the first look at Princess Jasmine's tiger (Naomi Scott), Rajah.

As Jasmine's main friend and protector around the palace, the initial reports suggested that Rajah, Abu and Iyago would not be present. Fortunately, this overview certainly confirms their involvement.

Initially, Rajah was replaced by Dalia, a maid character played by Nasim Pedrad. Scott had previously explained the importance of the introduction after the animated version of the film featured Jasmine, the isolated female character in a major role.

"I never realized it, but in animation, Jasmine is really the only female character – is not it crazy?" Scott said. "The character of Dalia is very important for this film because she is the only other female character. She may be the maid, but they are better friends; they are so close because they grew up together. So we wanted people to watch the film and see Jasmine's relationship with another woman and say, "Ah, that's how I am with my girlfriend" or "we would do it if I'm not here." was in this position. something that lacks animation. "

the Power Rangers The star told in a different interview how they had changed Jasmine so that the character fits perfectly in modern times.

"There are so many incredible things about the character in this adaptation – I could literally go on for an hour! Everyone involved in this project was not afraid to really break everything and start again, especially the Princess Jasmine character, because it's so important to do it right, "said Scott THR.

"[She] can be strong and have fun, but also be wrong and be emotional. She is a multidimensional woman and she does not have to be one thing, "she continued. "So, in this film, you see her doing such a rollercoaster, while her only goal is to fall in love or get married."

Guy Ritchie runs the new Aladdin film about a scenario that he wrote alongside Vanessa Taylor and John August. The film stars Mena Mbadoud (Aladdin), Naomi Scott (Jasmine), Will Smith (Genius), Billy Magnussen (Prince Anders), Nasim Pedrad (Dalia), Marwan Kenzari (Jafar), Numan Acar (Hakim) and Navid Negahban. (Sultan).

Aladdin will be released in the hall on May 24th.
