Mr. Botwe provided this advice at various meetings with the Chiefs, Municipal and District Directors (MDCEs) of Bono East and Ahafo areas in Sunyani to inform them of the latest developments after the referendum held on December 27, 2018 to create the new regions.

Constitutional instruments

He said on Tuesday, the president would hold separate meetings with chiefs and residents of Savanah and Northeast, who would be carved out of the northern region at the Jubilee House, during which constitutional instruments (CI) for the creation of the two regions would be issued to give the decisive effect of the results of the referendum of 27 December 2018.

The leaders and inhabitants of the Bono East and Ahafo enclaves, cut in the Brong Ahafo region, will take their turn on Wednesday (February 13, 2019) at the Jubilee House for the same purpose.

Mr. Botwe explained that chiefs and residents of the Northwest and Oti regions, respectively of the West and Volta regions, would also meet separately at Jubilee House on Friday. February 15, 2019 for the issuance of CIs. for the creation of the two regions.

According to him, the regional capitals of the six new regions would be part of the CI that would be published to conclude the processes of their creation.
