Former Chelsea coach Paul Clement believes that there could be a change of direction after the defeat in Manchester City.
The Blues were torn at Etihad Stadium. They lost 4-0 in less than 25 minutes and lost 6-0. They have suffered their worst defeat ever since 1991.
Maurizio Sarri confessed after the match in his comments that he was expecting to have a discussion about his manager position in the coming days. Chelsea now loses against Bournemouth, Arsenal and Tottenham in 2019 without giving in, as the pressure goes up on the Italian.
Sarri has struggled to apply his style of play to the club since his arrival from Naples last summer and has drawn criticism after being injured in his squad after defeating Arsenal last month, where he has stated that he had trouble motivating his team.
Many people have the feeling that he has made a wand for his back with this statement and Clément believes that the writing may be on the wall.
"I do not think he's going to walk. The reaction at the end of the game, whether he deliberately masked Pep or whether it's the pressure he's under and what's going on in his head, "he told BeIN Sports.
"He strongly criticized his team after the defeat of Arsenal. Since then, they have lost 4-0 to Bournemouth and I am concerned about what I saw that night because of the players' behavior.
"I have not seen one team fight for each other, for the club, for the fans and I think we have seen it again today.
"They are obviously a team without confidence. Whether because they do not like the way they play or do not agree with the way they play.
"Something is going wrong behind the scenes. The owner will not accept this. History shows that when the team does not play at the required level, they take action. "
