Chief Sofo Awudu Azorka, founder of the Azorka Boys, one of Ghana's oldest self-defense groups, has revealed that he is more trained than any policeman whose country can boast, reports MyNewsGh. .com.
Azorka who has made it known that he would not stay out of the way and would not allow pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP) militia groups recruited into National Security to bring the country to ransom, also promised to face them forever in 2020.
According to him, members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are ready to defend themselves since the police protect the members of the invisible forces to terrorize innocent Ghanaians while watching them indifferent.
He said that he had personally lost confidence in the Ghana police service because of the reasons for which party members would take their destiny into their own hands by providing their own protection system, but without specifying in what form .
"We will defend ourselves and defend journalists. When the time comes, you will see how we can defend ourselves. We will take the plane in 2020. We will come back to save the Ghanaians … I am not a policeman but I am more than a trained policeman. We protect you and the Ghanaians. We will not give weapons to criminals to kill innocent people, "he said.
According to the NDC's Deputy National Vice President, he wants to protect the country's party members and journalists from any harm that may occur during the preparation of the 2020 general elections and thereafter.
"NDC comes to defend the journalists. Look how they kill you. We badure that if we come back to power, we will defend all Ghanaians. I do not support the dissolution of self-defense groups. The police protect members of armed vigilante groups who shoot and injure innocent people, "he said.
When asked if he had no confidence in the police, he responded with an affirmative kick against the move to dissolve self-defense groups in the country.
