Jose Mourinho returns with a strange role for Russian television

Jose Mourinho will host a football show on Russia Today that will cover the Champions League.

This role marks a return to Russian television for the former manager of Manchester United, who worked with the Moscow network at last summer's World Cup in the country.

The bi-monthly show, entitled "On the bottom line with José Mourinho", will begin on March 7th.

Mourinho filmed a promotional advertisement for the new show during a recent visit to Russia, where he attended an ice hockey match.

"I'm going to talk about football at RT, what did you think I was going to do about it?", Mourinho told www.rt.com, after teasing the viewers , in the belief that he could be open to sporting change.

The website Russia Today added: "The show will offer a unique badysis from the Portuguese leadership on all the action of the Champions League, as well as an overview of the most important discussion points in the world of football. "

The opening broadcast will be aired at the end of the last 16 UEFA Champions League return matches, and Mourinho will continue his role with Russia Today until the June 1st final.

Mourinho guided United through the group stages of the competition before being fired in December, while reports of unrest among the players.

"I think I can say that today, I have no intention of returning to work in Portugal."
