On Sunday, Disney fulfilled everyone's wish when they finally took a first look at Will Smith's Blue Genie in Aladdin's new live action version.
Unfortunately, many fans were not impressed by what they saw and were quick to say on social networks.
"It turns out that Will Smith's Aladdin Genie will haunt my nightmares" tweeted a user.
Another added"I'll never sleep again and it's all Will Smith's fault."
The trailer for director Guy Ritchie's latest offer was revealed at the mid-point of the Grammy Awards, and Aladdin approaches the Cave of Wonders in search of the lamp.
When Disney first released images of the upcoming movie, Smith admitted that it was "always terrifying" every time "you do iconic things".
The actor said Weekly entertainment he drew on his roles as Bad Boys and The Fresh Prince from Bel-Air to shape his genius.
Ritchie said that he wanted a "muscular father of the 1970s".
He added, "He was big enough to feel like a force – not so muscular that he looked like he was counting calories, but great enough to seem to know when he was in the room. "
However, other moviegoers have stated that they would wait to make up their minds when the film will release in May.
