Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey signed a pre-contract deal to join Juventus this summer. This contract will bring him more than £ 400,000 a week.

The 28-year-old has signed a four-year contract that will allow him to join the champions of Italy as a free agent, thus ending his 11-year career with Arsenal.

Ramsey pbaded a two-part medical exam in January after choosing Juve following discussions with many European clubs.

He will be the most generous British player of all time, based on his base salary.

The Arsenal contract of the Welsh international expires on June 30 and the Gunners will not receive any compensation upon his departure.

To confirm the deal, Juventus said the club would incur 3.7 million euros in costs, but did not specify the amount of its fees.

The Juventus website welcomed Ramsey saying that he would become the third Welsh to represent the club, following John Charles and Ian Rush.

Ramsey, who has joined Arsenal since Cardiff City in 2008 for an amount of about 4.8 million pounds, has had preliminary talks with Barcelona and has also received an offer from Paris St-Germain.

Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Real Madrid have also shown interest. Real Gareth Bale striker would have encouraged his teammate from Wales to join him in Spain.

Arsenal presented Ramsey with a new offer in September, but it was turned down and the club was not ready to face its wage demands.

Head coach Unai Emery had reservations about Ramsey's role on his team.

Ramsey's desire to play number eight, to return to the ball from an advanced central station, was bumped into Emery's vision.

Emery does not usually deploy number eight, which means that the Welsh was mainly used in a stricter role without permission to move or in the No. 10 position with the back to the goal.

Ramsey played 259 times for Arsenal, scoring 61 times.

In his 11 seasons with the club, he has managed to double his figures in one season three times, with a best score of 16 in all competitions in 2013-14.
