Aaron Ramsey has posted a moving farewell letter to fans of Arsenal after accepting a preliminary contract with Juventus.

Ramsey, 28, has signed with Juventus a preliminary contract worth £ 200,000 a week, AFTER TAX, which makes him one of the UK's biggest winners, but he is dominated by his teammate from Wales Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.

Bale earns £ 650,000 a week or £ 350,000 a week after tax at Bernabeu. Italian media announced last month that Ramsey had signed a medical contract with Juventus and was due to join it this summer.

"As you may have already heard, I agreed to a prior contract with the Juventus football club," Ramsey wrote in a post posted on Instagram.

"I wanted to make a personal statement for all fans of Arsenal who have been extremely loyal and supportive.

"You have welcomed me as a teenager and have been there for me through all the ups and downs I've encountered during my stay at the club.

"It's with a heavy heart that I'm leaving after an incredible 11 years in North London.

"I will continue to give 100% to the team and hope to finish the season with vigor before moving on to my next chapter in Turin."
