Scholes will also hope to learn from Acting Red Sovseman Solskjaer – who has remained undefeated for 11 games at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer and Scholes shared a locker room under the watchful eye of Sir Alex Ferguson between 1996 and 2007.
And the Norwegian is desperate to see the effect of teammate Treble on the sideline.
Solskjaer said: "I wish him every success, I have observed the experts and he asks him, so he starts.
"But it's great to have Scholesy back in the game, a great player, a great personality.
"It's a challenge for him, it's not what he thought he was going to do as a player, but it's a drug, football, and he's at the corner, so it'll be nice to watch Oldham. "
Solskjaer will lead United against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday, while Scholes will be on the Latics sideline against Yeovil.
And the former leader of Cardiff predicted that his team could be a surprise name to win the entire competition.
Solskjaer, who has 10 wins and a draw in 11 games at United, said: "This team is very capable of defeating all of their opponents.
When we enter into confident games as we are, we are looking to the future, but we can not look too far.
"We have to turn to PSG and make sure we get through it, then take on the next challenge as soon as it comes up.
"But I told the boys, if we keep working every day, we can improve and maybe surprise some people."
