WWE apparently found a new opponent of WrestleMania 35 for John Cena, after the rumor of Lars Sullivan would have pulled out.
Wrestling legend Cena was scheduled to appear at Royal Rumble earlier this month, but was removed after being injured in his left ankle, rendering him unable to compete.
Since 14 January, the 16-time world champion has not appeared on the program, which would be a way to dissociate him from pay-per-view.
Cena was supposed to face Sullivan, the star of the NXT television shows, during Wrestlemania's April 7 presentation.
But Sullivan suffered anguish that forced him to miss a series of shows and start from an angle with Cena.
"The Champion" will now face Drew McIntyre at Wrestlemania, according to Ringside News.
Cena is currently in Canada making a new movie Playing with Fire, due to be completed on April 1, but is expected to appear at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in April.
"John Cena is filming his new movie until April 1 in Vancouver, BC," said Mike Johnson of PWInsider. "It gives him six days to play a game at WrestleMania, and he may appear," Johnson said.
"I would be shocked if he does not show up, whether he has a match or not. I did not hear anything.
McIntyre, the "Scottish Termnator" recently confessed that he would like to tackle the "greatest superstar of all time".
"I could consider a match as big as John Cena at WrestleMania, because, as has been mentioned before, there may not be a lot of people left and I think he's the greatest superstar of all time .
"So that would be the biggest hack in my belt if it were to go through."
