ARSENAL supporters congratulated the club for their TWO WORD statement on the departure of Aaron Ramsey at the end of the season.
It was announced on Monday that the 28-year-old had finalized his summer transfer to Juventus after spending 11 years in North London.
He signed a four-year contract with Juve and will receive a staggering $ 400,000 a week.
The Welshman issued a moving statement once the news was announced: he left the club "with a heavy heart" and described his stay there as "incredible".
During his career with the Gunners, Ramsey has won three FA Cups and two Community Shields.
This included the winners of the FA Cup finals against Hull in 2014 and Chelsea in 2017.
But Arsenal kept things VERY simple with his article on social networks – simply writing "thank you" and tagging his future ex-player.
And the gunners' fans are furious.
A fan wrote: "He deserved more than that, a terrible statement."
Stephen Afolabi wrote "Shame on you Arsenal" while Dom Bennett wrote that it was "a shameful treatment of an Arsenal legend".
"Walter" posted: "That's all? Thank you?"
And "Liv" wrote: "Thank you, lol, that's all … it would not have ended the drought of our trophy without him."
"Callux", a Twitter user, has published: "Why is the statement so shitty? Try again, please," and an Arsenal fan living in Spain added: "Qu & Is this statement really? "
The club, however, added a few words on its official website.
It read: "Aaron's has made a fantastic contribution to our club since arriving in Cardiff City in 2008.
"He has always been an accomplished professional and will always occupy a special place in the hearts and minds of Arsenal fans around the world.
"We hope that Aaron will help the team finish the season well before joining Juventus this summer."
Ramsey seemed more than happy to talk about his time at Arsenal when he issued a statement yesterday.
It read: "As you may have already heard, I have reached an agreement prior to the conclusion of the contract with Juventus.
"I wanted to leave a personal statement to all fans of Arsenal who have been extremely loyal and supportive.
"You have welcomed me as a teenager and have been there for me despite all the ups and downs I've encountered during my stay at the club.
"It's with a heavy heart that I'm leaving after an incredible 11 years in North London." Thank you. "
With Arsenal in fifth place, tied with Chelsea and a point behind Manchester United, Ramsey insists that he's always thrilled to have helped them qualify for the Champions League.
"I will continue to give 100% to the team and hope to finish the season with vigor before moving on to my next chapter in Turin."
