Kontihene
Hiplife artist Emmanuel Appiah Boateng, known in the showbiz as Kontihene, expressed his fondness for Menzgold's boss, Nana Appiah Mensah, better known as NAM 1.
In an exclusive interview with AJ Sarpong on Citi TV's "Hall of Fame," Kontihene said he did not know much about how NAM1 was running its gold business, but that he thought that he had a virtue to exploit.
"I love his mind. I like his boldness. There is something about him that I like very much. I pray that we can use his brain for something better for ourselves, "he said.
Even if he does not want radio presenters to interpret his song "Asesa" when he talks about Menzgold's problems, he has nothing against NAM 1. Recently, some radio presenters have started playing the role of Asesa of Kontihene when discussing Menzgold Matters. He went out to warn them to stop playing the song.
The song spread in the heat of the Menzgold saga because of the replica "Nana Appiah me nwom nie" and the "scenario of the hero at zero of the song".
According to Kontihene, even though the two call Nana Appiah, it was wrong to play her song for Menzgold's boss when she got in trouble.
For him, he did not understand why the DJs did not do the same thing when NAM1 signed artists with huge sums of money.
Menzgold has been asked to cease operations in accordance with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) directive.
He said the gold distribution company did not have permission to operate.
In the process, Menzgold's clients asked the government to find ways to get their money back for them.
At present, Nana Appiah Mensah is not in Ghana, although the court has imposed an arrest warrant.
Meanwhile, he will be appearing for the third time in Dubai on Thursday, Feb. 14, when he faces a misdemeanor charge over a $ 23 million deal, which went wrong.
