The Bureau of Combating Organized and Economic Crime (EOCO) succeeds Maurice Ampaw, who still owned a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado belonging to distressed gold distribution company, Menzgold Ghana Limited.

According to the anti-graft body, Maurice Ampaw is one of six people who still have to surrender the vehicles belonging to the besieged company. Its chief executive, Nana Appiah Mensah, aka NAM1, is currently being tried in the United States. Emirate (United Arab Emirates) following an alleged scandalous $ 51 million deal involving an Emirati company called Horizon Royal Diamonds.

EOCO has therefore asked Mr. Ampaw and the five other persons until February 15, 2019, to send the vehicles to his head office or to any regional office before February 5, 2019.

The others, who still keep Menzgold vehicles, are Raygan, who lives in Tema and is in possession of Toyota Corolla with registration number GE 7355; Clive Ofusuhene with Hyundai Elantra under the registration number GE 6872-17.

The others are Christian, who is in Tarkwa with Hyundai i10 under registration number GN 5884-15, Okeyere in Kumasi; Hyundai i10 with registration number GN 9727-15 and the late Prince Blewuo, whose family is in possession of the Hyundai i10 with the registration number GN 1662-16.

The Office for Combating Organized and Economic Crime (EOCO) would make progress in monitoring the company's properties, including those of its beleaguered CEO.

According to DGN Onilne sources at EOCO, the anti-graft corps has managed to secure more than 40 luxury cars and several mansions owned by NAM1, which could eventually be sold to settle its debts to its customers.

According to sources, EOCO has chosen to act quickly because it does not want potential claimants to protest that the properties in question belong to them.

This revelation came at a time when EOCO froze NAM1's bank accounts and would make frantic efforts to recover its other badets.

Accounts supposed to belong to three different banks were frozen on January 14, 2019.

EOCO urged the public to provide further information for the discovery of other properties of NAM1.

It turns out that fewer than 5,000 people have their investments stranded from the troubled gold collector firm, Menzgold Ghana Limited.

DGN Online has in its possession a list of the total number of investors who have done business with Menzgold, whose general manager, commonly referred to as NAM1, is currently under arrest in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on an alleged scandalous gold transaction of $ 51 million.

Even though the officials of the Office of Combating Organized and Economic Crime (EOCO) who investigate Menzgold's activities are trapped, a source says that there are 4,998 clients and not the estimated 46,000 previously published in the media.
