IBM embraces the transition to hybrid cloud systems and announces new services to help customers leverage multiple cloud providers for different applications. In addition, the company will now offer its own artificial intelligence system Watson on other cloud platforms.

The new services include the IBM Cloud Integration Platform to help launch new services and applications in cloud environments and IBM services to support multilayered policies and simplify resource management in cloud environments. The platform is designed to connect applications, software and services from any vendor, whether these systems are onsite, in a public cloud, or in a private cloud.

For IBM Watson, services such as Watson Assistant and Watson OpenScale can now run on any cloud, on-premise, or on any private, public, or hybrid multicloud network. IBM uses the open-source Kubernetes platform to make Watson available on other cloud platforms.
