The Convention People's Party (CPP) has started the process of organizing internal elections to elect new members for its constituency, regional and national offices.

The guidelines stipulated that constituency presidential candidates paid a tax of GHG 500, while those competing for vice president and secretary paid GH ¢ 400.
All other positions, including women and youth organizers, the secretary of education, and the treasurer, in accordance with the guidelines, paid 300 GH ¢ each.
Explaining further, the guidelines indicated that nomination fees were to be used by the region for election and administrative expenses.
He said that constituency polls would also be supervised and approved by the Electoral Commission.
Criteria of eligibility
According to the guidelines, all persons examined and eligible to stand for election must comply with Articles 42, 57 and 80, which define the criteria applicable to district, regional and national officials, respectively.
It stipulated that all persons qualified to vote should also have old party cards and / or new cards and / or those who had completed forms but had not yet received cards.
Once the constituency polls were completed and new members were elected by the end of February, the directives asked all newly elected constituency directors to organize more. their electoral zones and polling stations so that all members of the party are complete at all levels.

The guidelines also emphasized that regional offices should also prepare and prepare up-to-date electoral lists that must be compatible with the party's updated national database.
In addition, sources close to the party said that a number of party members had expressed interest in the national presidency of the party once the candidatures opened.
It is unclear whether the current national president of the CPP, Professor Edmund Delle, will seek re-election.
