Tottenham will launch a summer attack to try to land a star of Inter Milan strongly linked to Arsenal in January, according to a report.

Gunners moved late into the transfer window in an attempt to secure the Croatian international 's signature, but finally failed to secure an agreement on the line.

The former man from Wolfsburg was questioned and even submitted a transfer request, but the agreement was unsuccessful because, while Arsenal only wanted a loan, Inter wanted permanent cash, which Arsenal did not want to give.

The Gunners wanted the Croatian wing to be loaned with a £ 35 million buy option this summer. However, Serie A was not satisfied with this arrangement as it needed funds to find a replacement.

Now, however, an Italian paper report Tuttosport (via Football Italia) said Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino had "fallen in love" with Perisic in the Champions League group stage.

He added that Tottenham made advances to the 30-year-old in January and will return in the summer, with the possibility that Moussa Sissoko and / or Serge Aurier be included in an agreement.

Perisic has been rebuilding bridges with Inter since January, but it should still leave this summer, the report says.
