In 2015, DC Comics and IDW Publishing published Batman/Teenage Ninja Turtles, an astonishing good miniseries of six numbers where the Turtles were stuck in the DC universe and where Batman could deliver lines like "This is where I saw my parents die, Raphael".
This six-issue mini-series will be an animated film.
Warner Bros. and Nickelodeon (the current turtle television house) came together to Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, based on the 2015 comics series written by James Tynion IV (Detective Comics) and Freddie Williams II (Injustice against the masters of the universe).
The comics of Tynion and Williams were the best of all the miracles of comics; a premise that seemed ridiculous at first sight, but which turned out to be a fertile ground for the action rhythms and the development of the character. There is no reason to think that the film will not work on the same ground.
And on top of that, there is the voice expressed. Troy Baker (The last of us, Batman: The origins of Arkham) will play Batman and the Joker which, as Syfy notes, will make him the first to do so in the same production. The characters of Gotham City are Rachel Bloom (Crazy ex-girlfriend) as Batgirl, Tara Strong (My little Pony: The friendship is magic) like Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, Cas Anvar (L & # 39; extended) like Ra's al Ghul, Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911!) like Bane, Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) like the penguin, and John DiMaggio (Time of adventure) as Mr Freeze.
On the side of the half-shells, Darren Criss (History of American crime, Birds of prey) will play Raphael, with Kyle Mooney (Saturday Night Live) like Michelangelo, Baron Vaughn (Mystery Science Theater 3000: the return) like Donatello and Eric Bauza (Transformers: Disguised robots) as Leonardo.
Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be published "this spring," according to Syfy.
