Liverpool remains determined to seek a summer contract with Luka Jovic, the striker of Eintracht Frankfurt, despite reports that Real Madrid has submitted a bid for the goals of Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
according to BildLiverpool is one of the main contenders to recruit the Serbian striker this summer after probing his agent on a possible move to Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp is looking for an attacker to replace Daniel Sturridge, left at the start – which was Tuesday linked to a free transfer transfer to Tottenham – and we think that Jovic is at the top of the German's wish list, with Timo Werner from RB Leipzig is an alternative.
However, Liverpool's hopes for an agreement with Jovic – currently the Bundesliga's top scorer with 14 goals in 15 games – seem to have stung his nose, knowing that Barcelona has already signed an agreement with parent club Benfica to take the player to Camp This summer.
However, the Spanish paper Marca insists that Barca has not finalized anything yet for the player, although he has confirmed that he has every interest in signing the contract with the 21-year-old Bosnian-born player.
And that, they think, still means that a summer move to Liverpool remains a possibility, although Barcelona has appointed Jovic as Luis Suarez's long-term potential replacement.
Bild reports that Bayern Munich is also enthusiastic and considers Jovic as the successor to their own thrilling sensation. He also claimed that Real Madrid is preparing to launch a 45 million euros offer.
Liverpool's hopes of signing Werner, meanwhile, will be fully endorsed by Naby Keita this summer.
