The Acting Secretary General of the Convention People's Party (PCP), James Kwabena Bomfeh, is pleading for Kintampo, in Bono-Est, to become the regional capital.

According to him, there are four reasons why Kintampo should become the regional capital.

Speak on FM agreement As part of the "Ade Akye Abia" program, he said that one of the manifestos of PNP was to make visible the development project in various regional capitals and that the Kintampo capital would concretize the vision of the president.

First, he noted that Kintampo is located in the center of the country, in addition to its vast landscape and accessibility to other parts of the country.

Kintampo has enough facilities to be used as the capital of the region and has therefore called on the relevant authorities to take this into account.

"It's the center of the country and very easy to reach," he said.

This will help to open up the region to greater development, as it serves as a link between Tamale, Kintampo, Nkoranza, Techiman, Atebubu, which facilitates access for all.

Making Kintampo the capital will reduce tensions related to overpopulation and ethnic tensions that will surface.

Techiman, for example, is strangled and already developed. If Techiman becomes the regional capital, it will be difficult and difficult for others to realize the campaign manifesto of President Akufo-Addo, because people will always see Techiman as a city already in development.

He also strongly advocated making Kintampo the capital of the region, as Kintampo was once a colony and a capital of the northern territory with respect to history.

According to him, he suggested that the president could make Techiman the economic capital thanks to its development.

"I hope that Kintampo will be the regional capital, but the president is the supreme decision-making body.We all wait and believe in his judgment," he said.
