Napoli captain Marek Hamsik confirmed Wednesday his transfer to the Chinese Super League club, Dalian Yifang, said Wednesday on Italian radio the lawyer of the Serie A team.

"Hamsik is a Dalian player from 8:30 pm (7:30 pm GMT) tonight," Radio Kiss Kiss, Napoli's lawyer, Mattia Grbadani, told reporters.

The Slovak, who is currently in the city where he was born, Banska Bystrica, will arrive in China on Friday.

Napoli had originally suspended the deal because of a problem of "payment methods" agreed with the Chinese club, which is driven by the German Bernd Schuster.

Gazzetta Dello Sport announced Wednesday that under the renegotiated agreement, the tax of 20 million euros ($ 22.6 million) will be paid in two installments: five million euros immediately and 15 million euros already guaranteed from here a year.

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis also asked for additional bank guarantees from the Chinese club.

Hamsik, 31, was selected 111 times for Slovakia and has been playing for Napoli since 2007.

He scored 121 goals in 520 appearances and beat legend Diego Maradona (115) last season as the club's record scorer.

This three-year agreement would bring him an annual salary of nine million euros, three times his salary in Italy.

Hamsik helped the club win two Coppa Italia titles in 2012 and 2014 and the 2014 Supercoppa Italiana.

Napoli – who won the Serie A for the last time in 1990 – is second in Serie A, 11 points behind Juventus.
