Freddie Mercury, Rami Malek of Bohemian Rhapsody, tells the story of Freddie Mercury: "I do not know if Bob Geldof will kill me for that."

Rami Malek shared an anecdote about Freddie Mercury's iconic Live Aid performance as he paraded through the BAFTA red carpet.

The actor, who won the award for Best Actor for his role as Queen's leader in Bohemian Rhapsody, recounted how Bob Geldof called Mercury to involve him in the event.

Rami Malek, addressing presenters Edith Bowman and Dermot O'Leary on the Baftas' red carpet, said Geldof had told him what had been said the day before.

"I do not know if Bob Geldof will kill me for that, but I saw him and met him last night. What he said to me, is that he called Freddie and he told them: "Freddie, I think an event is going on. is produced especially for Queen and especially for you, "said the actor.

And he said, "This audience is for Freddie," and Freddie replied, "What do you mean, darling? ""

Malek also called Mercury "the gift that keeps giving" and shared his love for London.

He said that the realization of Live Aid for the film had really brought the Bohemian Rhapsody cast closer.

"We now call it our own group," he said. "At the beginning of the film with Live Aid, it was a kind of baptism of fire, we galvanized ourselves as a band and that's all, I trained the best friends of my life.

"And we were able to share that with Bryan May and Roger Taylor."

Malek also had good news for the fans.

"Pbading here very honestly was one of the best things I've ever done," he revealed. "From Abbey Road Studios, Air Studios, and see all of London and fall in love, so much so that I am now looking for a place to live here!"

During his speech on BAFTA, Malek also thanked Dexter Fletcher, who became a director when director Bryan Singer was fired from the film.
