Mrs. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Chief of Staff, donated food and toiletries to the Cape Coast School for the Deaf and Blind.
The items in question included 40 sacks of rice, five gallons of cooking oil, six buckets of soap, toiletries and a sum of 2,000 cedis to support their upkeep.
Mr. Frank Asiedu Bekoe, Senior Assistant to Ms. Osei-Opare, who presented the articles on her behalf at the Cape Coast School on Tuesday, said that Ms. Osei-Opare had long been involved in philanthropic was committed to supporting people with disabilities.
Similar donations
He added that Ms. Osei-Opare had made similar donations to the school for the blind Akropong, to the school for deaf Jamasi and to the Egyam children's home in Takoradi.

He emphasized that this gesture was intended to rebadure people with disabilities that everything was not lost and to encourage them to believe in themselves.
Regional Center Minister Kwamena Duncan also badured that the government will continue to create an environment that is conducive to the development of people with disabilities.
The director of the school, Mr. Setumte Ametewee, thanked the chef de cabinet for the gesture saying that many students were from disadvantaged backgrounds and that such donations have largely contributed to their upkeep.
He took the opportunity to ask for help in celebrating the school's 50th anniversary next year.
Road network
Mr. Ametewee called for the construction of the school road network, indicating that the mediocre and bumpy nature of the school road network was an obstacle to the movement of blind students in particular.
