Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti congratulated his team after his 3-1 victory in Zurich in the knockout stages of the Europa League, but acknowledged that he needed to improve his finish.
The Partenopei had a comfortable win in the first leg against the Swiss side thanks to goals from Lorenzo Insigne, Jose Callejon and Piotr Zielinski, but were forced to sweat after a tough battle in the last 15 minutes.
However, Ancelotti was pleased with his team's performance and, while admitting that more precision was needed, acknowledged that the Stadio Letzigrund's playing area had sometimes hampered Napoli's attacks.
"We started well by putting the pressure on them first and we had the skill and the chance to score early," said the former coach of AC Milan and Real Madrid at of the post-match press conference.
"We continued in the right spirit despite the conditions of the field. It could have been a bigger margin of victory with more precision, although we also had to consider that the field prevented us from finalizing the opportunities sometimes.
"The most important thing is that we win to go, even if we have to improve some aspects if we want to achieve our goals."
Napoli will host Zurich at Stadio San Paolo for the return leg next Thursday, hoping to consolidate their lead in the first leg.
