Netflix lockdown: fears of "active shooter" at the Hollywood office

Reports of a person carrying a "deadly weapon" on the Netflix website in Hollywood resulted in evacuation and lockout of the facility.

Local television channel KTLA reported that sources were in the building, claiming that they had been evacuated, but they were not told why.

An official from the Los Angeles Police Department said the police were responding to "second-hand" reports that an armed person was on the site. A person is interrogated while in detention.

Unconfirmed social media posts from the Netflix office point to speculation that there are fears of an active shooter.

Heavily armed LA police officers are currently crossing the premises, room after room.

In a statement, Netflix officials sought to minimize the incident. The police "have received information about a possible law enforcement incident.The police are sweeping the situation very cautiously.There is no immediate threat or threat for our employees ".

KTLA5, which has offices near the Netflix building, indicates that at least a dozen Los Angeles police officers could be seen at the entrance to the property on Van Ness Avenue, near the Netflix building.

KTLA informed employees to "move to the interior" and to move away from the windows as a "precautionary measure".
