Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have let the players of Manchester United go after their defeat against PSG.
The Norwegian has publicly admitted that his team was beaten by a better team after the 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford.
But according to Sun, United would have played in the hands of PSG and could have done much more for the goals they had conceded.
It was the first time United had lost since Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho at the helm.
PSG took the lead thanks to Presnel Kimpembe as he was coming back from the corner of Angel Di Maria at home.
Solskjaer would have been livid with the United players conceded on a set.
United insisted on a leveler and was surprised while Mbappe scored with a goal.
The acting boss of United had warned his players that they had to be patient – because their opponents were so good on the ball.
And he also felt that United had been too reckless in his fight and had accumulated too many useless cards, which ultimately led to the dismissal of Pogba.
United now has a mountain to climb to reach the quarterfinals before the second leg on March 6th.
They are back in national action Monday night when they face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
