A bomb concealed in a corpse clad in military uniform killed an army doctor and injured two police officers in northern Burkina Faso, a security official said Thursday.
Soldiers and police were sent to inspect the body of a man who was found abandoned on a road in the city of Djibo, near the border with Mali, according to the source.

The doctor "died in the explosion of a trapped corpse containing an improvised explosive device," he said.
"The bomb was destroyed by an attempt to turn the body over, killing the army doctor and injuring two other members of the team," the official said.
A medical source in Djibo said the two injured policemen were being treated at a local clinic, including one in critical condition.
Burkina Faso, located in the heart of the vast Sahel region of Africa, is facing a bloody, Islamist insurgency and social unrest.
Last week, there were three attacks, one of which killed five members of the security forces the same day the president held a regional summit on the fight against terrorism.
