Residents serve dirty water to politicians after failing to provide them with drinking water – PHOTOS | Policy

KENYA: Residents of a Kenyan village have decided to give Kenyan politicians a taste of their own medicine in order to serve them dirty water.

Residents of Marsabit County, during a scheduled meeting with their leaders on Tuesday, February 12, served muddy drinking water as refreshment for politicians who had failed to provide them with drinking water.

The dignitaries were comfortably seated on plastic chairs for the meeting with the residents of Karare district when women from the Karare neighborhood came out and served the political and administrative leaders present at the meeting, in bottles of muddy water .

Politicians tried to pretend they did not see the water and continued to talk to each other. But their muddy bottled water was carefully deposited on the floor next to them.

Residents in the Karare region were unhappy that their leaders were unable to find a solution to their chronic water problem. The water used by the villagers to cook, drink and clean is contaminated and totally unfit for human consumption and they wanted to give their leaders a unique chance to see the kind of life that they live.
