My constituents plan to kill me to open the way for a by-election – NDP MP cries

Upper West Akyem MP for the Eastern Region, Hon. Derek Ohene Bekoe Asifo revealed that some people in his riding plan to kill him to hold a by-election to replace him.

The legislator of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Adom FM, controlled by MyNewsGh.com, revealed that the plot had begun a week ago by asking why people would be so mean and would like his death solely for political reasons.

He revealed that someone who was spying on the badbadination plot came to know about him when the byelection in his constituency will come up with a question that left him in shock.

According to him, what was even more shocking was how a by-election could take place when an incumbent MP who has neither resigned nor resigned further exacerbates his fears of information that he would be murdered.

"In this country, we take things too personal. Some people will go so far as to try to eliminate others. What badurance do you have even to win the by-election if I am killed, "he asked.
