The creative arts industry in Ghana has not seen significant progress, no matter how enticing the past and present government promises. It is unfortunate that Ghana can not boast ultra-modern theaters in all regions except Accra.

Remember that in the month of September 2017, Mrs. Catherine Ablema Afeku, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, as well as leaders of the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Government, presented at August ceremony in the northern region of Ghana, nearly 30 ambbadadors of tourism. I hope they'll gather ideas to push the creative arts sector to a pinnacle.

"A year has pbaded but the situation of the tourism sector remains the same – no significant progress. Logically, this presupposes that the majority of tourism ambbadadors could not meet expectations. However, despite the fact that the ambbadadors already appointed have failed in the sector, Catherine Afeku continues to double the number of ambbadadors. Between 2017 and 2018, only 10 tourism ambbadadors submitted their projects, but approval dates remain mysterious until today. So why should the minister appoint another ambbadador, Bill Asamoah? Asked Nana Frimpong Ziga in the studios of Kessben 93.3 FM.

If you remember, the actor of Kumawood, Bill Asamoah, was named ambbadador of tourism and was added to the ambbadadors failing. It is not surprising, therefore, that the appointment of Bill provokes contradictory emotions, as some industry experts are convinced beyond doubt that Bill Asamoah is not qualified for the position. In addition, they believe that those who exist have not done justice to their roles; it is therefore illogical to add numbers.

However, Nana Frimpong Ziga, a very opinionate showbiz critic, thinks otherwise. Ziga, who is also a full-fledged member of Creative Arts for Development & Action, believes Bill Asamoah's appointment is right, but she can not put it down, as some people say. Speaking at Kessben FM Studios in Kumasi, Ziga stated that Bill Asamoah was known to be a righteous and noisy person, so his appointment could not influence his willingness and desire to lobby or to make pressure for progress in the Kumasi creative arts sector.
