Goosie Tanoh, the party's flag bearer, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), said he was confident that a return to the core values ​​and principles of the NDC would bring the opposition party back to power .

Tanoh, who gathered a crowd of delegates and supporters at the World Vision Center in Ho, Volta Region, said the party's electoral situation had begun to decline when Ghanaians began to lose faith in the country. determination of the NDC to stick to its founding principles.

Goosie Tanoh, 63, founder of the former National Reform Party, a splinter group of the NDC and former special advisor to former president Rawlings, called on delegates to vote only for trusted people who would resurrect the core values ​​of the NDC. lead the party.

Mr. Tanoh decried the situation in which NDC officials in the district of Afajato South did not offer him and his team the opportunity to dialogue with the delegates of this constituency by stating that "It is unfortunate that people do not listen to all parties before making their choice".

He stated that even though he knew he would win the February 23 elections, he would continue to serve the NDC if he did not win.

Speaking of some of his ambitions for the country if he became president, Mr. Goosie said he would focus on agriculture, education, health and affordable housing.
