Adisadel College students were full of smile and joy as they browsed their sections, one after the other to donate blood to their school to complete the Cape Coast Hospital Blood Bank. Teaching.

The blood donation was organized by Ghana's largest telecommunications giant, MTN and the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.

Students interviewed by Kweku Bee Abrante thanked MTN Ghana for giving them the opportunity to save lives, especially February 14th, on Valentine's Day.

According to the students, the road from Cape Coast to Winneba is one of the busiest roads in Ghana, resulting in a significant number of accidents on the road. It is therefore worth it if they donate their blood to stock at the University Hospital of Cape Coast to deal with such emergencies.

One of the students who spoke on condition of anonymity recounted how his clbadmate involved in an accident on the Cape Coast Winneba road nearly lost his life because of the unavailability of his blood group to the 39; era.

According to the student, it was traumatic to see his girlfriend suffer so much suffering and trauma.

Regina Akeefi, head of human resources for the western and central MTN regions, said that MTN had launched the blood donation exercise for Valentine's Day titled "Save a Life Project" in 2011, the central region participating four years ago.

She said that the exercise was to show love to MTN customers on Valentine's Day.

She urged the public to support donating blood by MTN whenever this exercise is organized to prevent continued blood loss due to non-availability of blood.

About 350 blood donors were to donate blood to complete the blood supply at the Cape Coast University Hospital.
