MANCHESTER UNITED will be forced to face a weakened team for the next matches against Chelsea and Liverpool.
Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial are expected to miss both matches after being injured in Tuesday's defeat against Paris Saint-Germain.
United will face Maurizio Sarri's team at the England Cup on Monday, after dismissing Arsenal in the fourth round.
Solskjaer will have to present new faces to his injured team if he wants to bounce back after his first defeat.
Lingard and Martial being on the sidelines, the Norwegian should name Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku in the starting lineup.
But he also hinted that the young Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong were ready to make an impact.
After defeating PSG 2-0, Solskjaer said: "Everyone who plays, be it Alexis, Romelu, Chongy or Angel, now has a chance to do it.
"Anthony and Jesse did really well for us, they are essential but then, with Romelu and Alexis, they have different skills and will be able to show what they can do.
"So we have to form a team together on Monday."
Solskjaer revealed that Gomes, 18, and Chong, 19, were coaching with the first team at Carrington.
He said: "Angel [Gomes] and Chongy [Tahith Chong] coach with us and they are doing well, so they could be involved in this game. "
The Norwegian boss has confessed his intention to play up-and-coming star Mason Greenwood, but his injury has prevented the 17-year-old from leaving.
"I was looking for Mason with Anthony and Jesse, but unfortunately, he is also injured, so we will not be able to kill him, which is unfortunate for the boy."
Solskjaer chose to let goaltender David De Gea, the first goalkeeper, during the England Cup match, allowing Sergio Romero to start between the two sets.
But he did not want to reveal what guardian he planned to play when he was reportedly questioned at the press conference.
He said: "We still have a few days of training and these games are going to be essential for us, so let's just see who is fit and available on Monday morning."
Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian both missed the loss to PSG due to injury.
The Reds will then participate in the Premier League event to face Liverpool on Sunday, February 24th.
